Description

John Wanner Gehr was not an ordinary man. He was a farmer, a carpenter, a builder, a businessman, a Justice of the Peace, and a Prothonotary. He lived his entire life in the same community where he was born, just down the road from where his 3rd-Great-Grandfather first settled in 1734. Through hard work and honest dealings he earned the nickname “The King of Barn Builders”.  John and his wife, Annie, raised 14 children in a small rural community in northern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  Now, for the first time, his story is captured in this book, From Barns To Banks, written by his grandson.  This book was previously published under the same title as an e-Book only.  The original has been updated and expanded, to become a Second Edition.  This is the updated version now available both as a paperback and as an e-book,
